Saturday, January 5th: We were the first to arrive at Chef Mickey’s for breakfast
when they opened at 7AM and then we were off to catch the bus for a day at the
park. Hong Kong Disney was like a
smaller but similar version of the Magic Kingdom. Some things were very different, some very similar, some things much bigger here and some things much smaller here…like Cinderella’s
castleL
The Small World was HUGE here and the parade floats were much taller here
too. There was an area called Toy
Story Land…that we have nothing like it in Florida. The girls and I LOVED a
ride called the Grizzly Gulch in Adventure Land…kind of a mix of the Thunder
Mountain Railroad and the Expedition Everest. Lance and I were a little surprised…NO Mulan?!? We saw all
the other princesses…weird:-/ We
had an AWESOME day with our girls!!!
It has been nice to have that one on one time with them before we meet
their sister and for all of us to get adjusted to the time change. We were all ready to head back to the
hotel about 6PM. We had hoped to make it until the 8PM fireworks but we were
exhaustedL We sat in the hotel lounge when we got
back and enjoyed a pizza and watch part of the movie...UP. Back at the room Lance, Lorelle and I
showered and Lilyan passed out…clothes and all. Poor girl was SO tired!! Lorelle and Lance watched the fireworks
out our room window and I joined Lilyan. We were all in bed with lights out at
8:30PMJ
