Lance and I decided not to have our annual New Year's Eve party this year. We didn't want the extra work/stress so close to our China trip. I was especially happy with our decision when most of us ended up with some sort of sickness:( The kids were a little bummed about no party so we did let them invite friends over. We ended up with 17 kids (including ours;) that spent the night and we were up to 22 kids here at one point last night. The kids had a blast. The fun included lots of XBox (mostly Dance Central and Basketball), bottle rockets, some of the BIG boys jumping in the icy pond (yep...STUPID!) and LOTS of Mt. Dew. Most everyone was still up at 4AM and some even until 7AM. They woke (or got woke up;) in shifts and I fed them cinnamon rolls and monkey bread. Lance and I spent most of the night snuggled up on the sofa watching New Year's Rockin Eve with the fireplace on and champagne in hand. It was a good night:) 2 more sleeps until we leave for China...Bring it on 2013!!!
Life is GOOD!!!
