Lia's FIRST Day of School...

On April 17th...Lia went to her first day (really only 30 minutes;) of school here in America. She was super excited. She mostly worked with the schools EL teacher. They did some Rosetta Stone on the computer and also a program called LIPS. They did work up to an hour at a time and then she actually stayed for a few hours at a time during the last full week of school. She even sat in on a couple Math classes. She LOVED being in classroom and with other kids. We also continued to homeschool and she continues to go to her private reading tutor. Lia knows all her letters and sounds, lots of sight words and is blending and reading many words. It is so exciting to hear her read. I am very proud of her and how far she has come in the last 6 months.

Posing with her backpack...and ready to go:)

We practiced letters and sight words outside with chalk...

She was super proud of her math papers she did...

Such an amazing journey for her and our family!!!
