On March 29th...we hit the road for Topsail Island, North Carolina. We stopped about half way there for a night...to break up the long drive a bit;) The kids enjoyed the break from the van and swimming in the hotel pool. We arrived at our vacation home on Saturday afternoon and Easter Sunday was the next morning. This was Lia's first time celebrating Easter. Even though she didn't totally understand what it was all about... she enjoyed the activities and candy. She did put the connection together that is had something to do with Jesus, a cross and The Bible mini series we had been watching for several weeks. She started connecting the dots when she got her chocolate cross on Easter morning;) She has told me several times since then...that she does not want to be crucified like Jesus ("Lia NO owie OK!?!" and she points to her palms) poor thing may be a bit traumatized from watching The Passion...no need sweet girl<3 Praise the Lord!!!

We had a gorgeous ocean front view, with a big pier and beautiful sunrises. The weather was not the best so the kids spent a lot of time in the hot tub and playing on the beach. Lance and I mostly just relaxed and watch ed the kiddos play.

Below is why be have made Topsail Island our Spring Break destination the last two years...aren't they sweet?!? That is Julie with Levi...she was his foster sister in China. Not she lives with her adoptive family just a few minutes away on Topsail:) We are so blessed to be able to keep them in touch.
